This is a TV segment covering the announcement event for Yakouchuu in 1995, which was the first non-Chunsoft sound novel released on the SFC. The episode even showcases a bunch of other upcoming sound novels releasing that year. The genre was really growing rapidly after the success of Kamaitachi.

certainly my favorite of this year. i was drawn in by the art, initially, but now i'm realizing the style is just a bonus on top of how fun it is to learn about this world. i love to stare at the skyboxes, just as much as the feeling of barely winning out a fight because you know where the vents are
