I guess I should try to make a trailer for Dovvee's ReQuest soon. That's been the plan for a while. I just don't know how. I might have to forego it but I want to at least try. I have minimal video editing software knowledge. An incredibly simplistic trailer is better than none, right? #GameDev

Nearly finished with my 2nd playthrough of my own game, Dovvee's ReQuest. Only found 8 issues so far which is significantly less than what I'd found up to this point during my first run. #GameDev
I took on some feedback. I think it's more readable now but I'm still open to more feedback. #GameDev
Working on the store page thumbnail for Dovvee's ReQuest. Trying to fit the name (logo) in and show what the game's like at the same time. Does it read well? #GameDev

Setting up the Itch page for Dovvee's ReQuest!
After failing 15 attempts in a row at the final boss on Dovvee's ReQuest in Hard Mode, I think it's safe to say that it's nerf time. #GameDev
The Book of Rynn's internal testing for the demo is going well! We're going to be adding more people to the playtest soon with a bunch of fixes and updates! Comment below if you would like to join! #jrpg #nes #gamedev #indiegames #retrogames #thebookofrynn
I'll admit, I'm getting close to hitting game development burn out again. I've fixed/adjusted 95 different things since starting this full playthrough already. It's been a lot. I know my next playthroughs will have a lot less issues but it's still daunting to think about having to do them at all.
It's too easy. Now it's too hard. Now it's too easy. Now it's too hard. Now it's too easy. Now it's too hard... Trying to get gameplay balance to feel just right is kind of stressful... #GameDev
Looking at the "dragons" tag on Steam and almost every listed game has you fighting dragons. I want games where I *be* the dragons!
This image brings me back to better days. Days when my main worry in life was if I had enough stone to build a castle that'd allow me to get into the Imperial Age.
Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings (1999). This and StarCraft's menu are burned into my memory.
I'm feeling a bit more confident in the fun factor of Dovvee's ReQuest with this playtest. Exploring the world is more enjoyable than I anticipated. I can't remember what I put in each of the 100s of chests so it's a nice surprise to be like "oh sweet! That's where the Fire Rod was!" #GameDev
First full test playthrough of Dovvee's ReQuest is going well. That is to say, I've found a handful of issues that I need to address before my 2nd playthrough. A few grammatical errors and lore contradictions. Some minor bugs. Some caves being too easy, some too hard. All this done on Hard Mode.
I think I just made a video game.
"Oops. I didn't mean to place that note there. Wait. It actually sounds better like this..." How I make music for my games in a nutshell.
(Actual Sega Dreamcast capture) Vertex colors are way too powerful...
I made a bug finding tool for Dovvee's ReQuest that checks the games source code for "accidents". It found 3 mistakes that I've since corrected so it was worth the effort!
