I believe the one phrase that has hollowed out so many people's lives, killed dreams, and acted as a primary driver in our current perceived lack of creative/scientific endeavors is "Well, there's no money in that." It should never be about the money, and it sucks that we're all cursed for profit.

I love when people say to me “You know how it is!” because oftentimes I, in fact, have never once known how it is.

I don't think we tell people often enough what they mean to us, perhaps because we are simply caught up in everyday life or maybe for fear of being misinterpreted and making someone uncomfortable. Valid concerns, but also life is short and vulnerability can often catalyze greater connection.

I am really proud of myself for finally sitting down to make/build my own ruleset. Hopefully it will be good! If it isn't, I'm still really happy I have finally done it. I've loved the process so far 🥹

Just because you watch certain media or play certain games doesn’t mean they’re your stories to tell. You have the privilege of watching another’s journey. Sometimes we don’t like the outcome, or certain decisions, but those are not our battles to fight. Those stories are, simply, theirs.

Reply to that "looking for group" post. Offer to GM that one shot for new players. Volunteer to help with that community project. Community happens when people stop waiting for someone else to step up.

On this, I'm making a THING - does anyone have any favourite Backrooms-esque TTRPGs/modules, or TTRPGs you think would be interesting if they were set in The Backrooms? I've got some already on my list. But I'm so intrigued to hear suggestions from others!

there’s a phenomenon that is prevalent in (and certainly not limited to) ttrpg spaces where people seem to really need their own tastes, opinions, and desires to be objectively correct moral facts. our spaces are much worse off for this.
