Cynthia: Starting vacation with a good book
Cynthia — Yesterday at 3:05 PM
I read about 120 pages on my flight, laughed a lot, cried a couple times, and had to put it down for a bit when something hit a lot closer to home than I expected. I am loving this book.

Shawndra Quinn — 3:50 AM
If you hadn't told me what book you were reading I still would've guessed Aftertaste from this description of the experience. Reading that book is just Like That.

This is one of the first things I’ve consumed in quite some time that’s actually made me feel.

once, a close friend told me if you know the color of their eyes it’s already too late 💙✨💞 my debut full-length poetry collection, coming Sept 1 from Raging Opossum Press (cover by Chris Gleason)

the front cover for IF YOU KNOW THE COLOR OF THEIR EYES IT’S ALREADY TOO LATE by Bridget Gordon. the cover depicts two nude femme figures, embracing while suspended in mid-air, set amidst an apricot-hued frame with vine motifs, more nude femmes, and stars. just outside the illustration frame is someone’s skin, suggesting that this depicts an ornate back tattoo.

@lolzygag.bsky.social messaged me a while ago to say Aftertaste cracked her egg. Last night, she wrote, "This book tricked me. This book made me laugh. This book made me cry. This book made me scream. This book made me love. This book made me feel. This book broke me. This book saved me."

This book tricked me. This book made me laugh. This book made me cry. This book made me scream. This book made me love. This book made me feel.

This book broke me.

This book saved me.

I can't say it enough, so thank you again, Emoria. Thank you for this beautiful, wonderful thing you created, for all the people, including me, that you've helped in some small but enormous way, and for putting this piece of yourself into the world. Thank you.

Check out Val’s game and while you’re at it, follow Val! She’s sweet and smart and quite the wonderful girlfriend to my girlfriend @adrian256.bsky.social to boot. Follow Val!!

Last weekend I made a text adventure game for the GMTK Game Jam. I decided to do something way different this year and make a game about being being trans! You can play it here: infohazard.itch.io/stilltime. It does go into some heavy topics (listed in the introduction) so just be aware of that.
