Relating to last few reposts: Over time I've gotten increasingly uncomfortable with the term "ally" cause more and more it feels like a word people use to give themselves asspats for being nice to minorities, like it's more of an ego thing for them than actual empathy.

I feel like at least some of this self corrects when you stop giving yourself mental medals like "ally" and just act normal with other people who are in fact for the most part, also just normal people
