I'm tired of seeing ppl mocking concept artist looking for work, saying they can't get it cause their art may be pretty, but doesn't solve problems. And while I agree that's important, they just repeat it like a parrot without giving any advice. So here is my personal advice after 18 years of XP👇

QRP your sketch vs final work I do mostly value sketches now, they're pretty simple usually since I like things to be read easily. But sometime I like to do line sketches or just put random colors and work with them, it really depends and that's all the fun of painting!

late night hot take time but I think someone does need to develop a good somewhat algorithmic feed for Bluesky. Something that surfaces “quality tweets in my interest group cluster that are popular over the last 24hrs” in a way that prevents good stuff from getting buried if it’s old when you log on
