Hey, you can contact Dan Patrick here, and maybe you should! It's up to you if you start the conversation with "you, good sir, are a little bitch" like I did.

The biggest target I've ever seen on my books. Texas placed Banned Book Club and Occulted on a state-wide list of illegal "dirty books." Having them in any school could lead to state takeover where the government could shut down the library entirely and convert it into a student detention center.
"And the Children Shall Lead" is on. Absolute worst episode. Hate it. But just realized two things: 1. Bones doesn't see the Gorgon. He would've tried to kick its ass for hurting the kids. 2. Bones also doesn't see the kids at their evil brattiest. He would've spanked them, dead parents or no.

Indy car racing might be one of the most should-be-cool-as-shit-but-actually-sucks-ass things in the world. (See also: America.) By all means, let's have a race where it's a total pain in the ass for everybody who already lives and works there; and not even let them watch it. Fuck that.
Sunday's course takes high-speed cars right past the National Gallery of Art and three Smithsonian museums. Art experts worry about the works inside, but organizers say they don't expect damage. n.pr/4xgXI38
There's bodycam footage on the news today, of cops helping out with the local fires--good job, guys...but I can't help but notice, that footage only gets released when it makes you look like heroes. Good luck getting that footage if there's any questions.
The modern version was way cheaper! And had accessories; I dunno if the retro one did? I'd put him with my Alpha Flight figures!
I bought the earlier, modern LooseCollector version of Cpt. Canuck. I would have preferred this classic version. I can't say I ever read a book of his. It was more nostalgia from seeing him in shops than any connection to the character.
More and more "small batch" action figures are becoming available; I don't know we've figured out what they should cost? Canuck seems a little steep, but is it the license? Tariffs? The Canadian exchange rate? There maybe could be a reason.
Cool, how much is it if we only want one and not an entire case?
I don't think I'd seen that before! Well, now I'll have to keep an eye out.

I had the GHOST RIDER movies on the other day; and might be getting all my Riders together. Caretaker I bought new, way back when. (Technically a Sam Elliot figure!) Vengeance had a proper Toy Biz Marvel Legends figure, but is long past due for an update; even if he’s become obscure.
So when I was in high school, one evening my grandma was so excited to watch a movie rental. She said she heard it was based on a true story. When the dead baseball players start coming out of the cornfield, my sister and I look at each other...Grandma's like, hmm, that doesn't seem right...
The film was a transparent attempt at magical realism because that was just getting translated for more mainstream audiences. And it shows the writer(s) struggled to grapple with what that entails given their utter lack of spirituality/experience, etc.
A new batch of mass-market, Marvel Legends-scale characters from other publishers, like the old Toy Biz Legendary Heroes.
I have an idea. Tell me your collector grails that don't exist (yet?). Don't have to be realistic about it, go ham.
The house ad for it works even better, but it's a tough one to get your head around. So to speak. Target Masters: my gun turns into a guy! Like a pal. Cool. Head Masters: my head turns into...somebody else? What the...?! Also, is that spaced correctly, is this what we're doing?
I like how everything Budianski cooked up for the Headmasters -- from the story concept for the toyline to the comick itself -- was all abosluke dogshit essep thisk extremely bizarre, striking image of the guy riping orf his own head in the name of peace
Reminding myself I don't have this one; I've been putting together a run of ARION from the cheap bins.
I wouldn't, but if you've been dying for it and can't mash the toys together yourself, enjoy. Confidence is low: Kevin Smith has written some comics so bad they ruined his movies for me.
The first-ever ‘STAR WARS’ and ‘MARVEL’ crossover comic book event is releasing in January 2027. • Written by Kevin Smith with art by David Marquez. • The story sees ‘A NEW HOPE’ take place on Earth-616 due to a reality-shattering spell. (via ew.com/star-wars-ma...)
I’m not a big Criterion guy (stifle yer gasps of disbelief) but I may have some taste. Picking the big ol’ Godzilla set might be a cheat; but I’d grab one if I ever had the chance to rummage around in there.

Reminds me of my dad. American conservatism is easy to understand once you accept it is entirely a culture of abusers.

Washington State has a pretty robust initiative process, that I genuinely can’t remember being used for anything good? I hope I’m wrong but it seems like it’s always crap like this or voter ID suppression.
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play
Baumgartner is my congressman and he sucks. Wouldn’t trust him with a glass of warm piss. He doesn’t represent me and I’m not sure he does anybody else around here.

This is the time of year when my house fills up with these weird little bugs. They’re harmless and I don’t mind them but I can’t figure out their life cycle: 1. Bumble about my house aimlessly 2. Die
Got Marrina and Box today! (Oh, and some other figures that were mostly for the Build-a-Figure. Dark Hawkeye, fah!) I don't think Alpha Flight ever had Sasquatch, a Wendigo, and Box on the roster at the same time. Salary cap issue, probably.
I don't know if that's Young Darkseid in the foreground there, but now I want like a year of Orion trying to kill Darkseid, like how Luthor used to try and get Superman. (It reminded me of that Neal Adams cover; but Orion would PUMMEL Kid Darkseid mercilessly.)

To go with the CONAN: BATTLE OF THE BLACK STONE and Red Sonja Epic H.A.C.K.S. figures, today we got the SUPER 7 Ultimates Kull. Who might be a 7-inch scale, but doesn't look bad with them. (Kull was less expensive than either, and I got him cheaper still!)
I always mention how I miss when Conan and Red Sonja were default Marvel characters; but I finally got a couple shots of them together. That's the new CONAN: BATTLE OF THE BLACK STONE and Red Sonja Epic H.A.C.K.S. 1:12 Scale figures.
