I'm tweaking something in the config for foot, my favorite Linux terminal emulator, and it turns out that "foot images" and "foot images sixel" give WILDLY different results.

A friend of mine who was TA’ing for an AmLit course found a copy of Moby Dick a student had left behind. It had only one marginal annotation, around page 100, that simply said “whale is important.”

I'm maybe 20% into "Everything for everyone", and you know this feeling that there will be a 'before' and an 'after' reading a specific book? Well, I got that.

Everything was happening too much today, so I put my phone in airplane mode and went to this spot to eat my lunch in complete silence. 10/10
When I get impostor syndrome my take is that whatever I am doing, pretence or not, it is clearly working out great for me, much better than anyone could’ve anticipated, so I should obviously just keep doing it.
After over 15 years, I have settled on: the universe gave me severe impostor syndrome to give everyone else a fighting chance.

Today the twins got into an argument about herp ID, complained that we didn't see any cool birds, found it unfair that I didn't want to stick my hand in the underbrush to show them a tick in its natural habitat, then ranted for a good 5 minutes because other people on the trail were yelling.
