Andy Pages is quite good. I'd venture to say he's the second best CF in the entire ballpark today.

The two teams currently joining the #Cubs in NL Wild Card positions, the Phillies and Diamondbacks, have run differentials of +4 and +1, respectively. Worthy of .500 teams basically. The Cubs' run differential is +98.

I’m very happy with what the #Cubs did at the deadline. But this headline? Have to wonder exactly how the grinders who get bumped from the rotation — Rea and Assad? — will feel rewarded.
Last night, Ian Happ tied Kris Bryant (2019) for the 31st highest single-season strikeout mark in #Cubs history with 145. Next up is 149 K, held by Addison Russell (2015) and Happ himself, in 2022. Happ is on pace to finish with 208 K, 9 better (worse?) than Bryant's all-time team mark of 199.

I get the feeling the eyes of the baseball world will be focused on Wrigley Field tomorrow night. Wouldn't have thought a Javier Assad start would generate that much attention.
