Me: I‘m spending a lot more then I’d like lately, lemme see what my worst offenses are! I bet it‘s eating out or buying art or something. Bank account: You are spending most of your money on bills and gas for your car! Me: …Oh.

List of things we can no longer eat safely due to recalls in the past few weeks: 1) Fresh produce especially bagged lettuce 2) Eggs 3) Potato chips 4) Pillsbury pastries We live in hell

It’s clear that whoever wrote this post is not nearly as knowledgeable about the romantasy genre (especially the online romantasy community) as they think they are. Otherwise they would have understood why this post was a bad idea. Next time, just say “vanilla romantasy.”

Older lady peeped the rainbow flag on my bike, asked in a thick Russian accent “It’s your Pride?” She told me her youngest grandchild is “not she berry or he berry but no berry.” I said “Nonbinary?” She got so excited. Yes! Yes! And “Is a secret, but they are my“ *looks around, whispers* “favorite.”

Neat perspective, as someone who did pursue a “real job”. I don’t regret my decision, but but it’s become increasingly clear over the past few years that even ”real jobs” aren’t as stable as they used to be.

Once again and old one that sadly remains very relevant. There's so much less work for artists these days and constant suggestions of getting a "real job" instead and it gives me nothing but nasty flashbacks.

Draw in your free time, they said.. Panel 1: 19 y.o. artist "I'll go study something useful so I can get a REAL JOB! I can still draw in my free time." Panel 2: Stressed artist is sudying "Urgh. This sure takes a lot of time & energy. I guess I'll draw some other time. It's just a hobby." Panel 3: 23 y.o. artist is burnt out "Wait, won't I have even less time and energy once I get the REAL JOB? Not sure I even remember how to draw" Under the comic: "At 25 I quit uni to pursue illustration"
