TRANSPHOBES LOSE AGAIN 👩⚖️ The High Court has resoundingly rejected the arguments made by Sex Matters to prevent adult policewomen from being able to make their own decisions.

Labour's attack on women's and queer rights has haemorrhaged support for them. But despite their catastrophic losses in the May elections, it seems this is a course they are determined to stay on.

Llongyfarchiadau to @skinnock.bsky.social on his appointment as Welsh Secretary. We are delighted to see someone with such a personal connection to LGBTIA+ rights in a position to make a real difference for queer people across Wales. We look forward to seeing him work productively with the Senedd.

The reappointment of Bridget Phillipson, who has systematically destroyed women's and queer rights through the EHRC, as Women & Equalities Minister is a mistake that will continue to cost Labour the support of millions of voters. The time of taking this core voterbase for granted is over.

Remember: The EHRC guidance is not law. It does not apply to individuals. Service providers can still provide gender inclusive spaces.
The English government's guidance for how to treat trans kids in schools discusses that transphobic bullying may be a protected belief. Yes, you're reading that right, Labour are affording bullies more protection than trans kids. 'Most LGBT-friendly government in history'.

As someone who has extensively researched conversion therapy promoters operating in the UK I have been raising alarms about the uselessness of the UK corporate charity sector in addressing the practical realities of it for several years now and unfortunately I was fucking right.
👏 We did it! Today the Government have published their long overdue draft Bill to ban conversion practices. For far too long, LGBTQ+ people have been subject to practices that seek to change or suppress who they are. Conversion practices have caused profound and lasting harm to many LGBTQ+ people.
Today the government has proudly claimed to be advancing LGBTI+ rights with a conversion therapy 'ban' which will change almost nothing for most victims. To be clear - this government has set LGBTI+ rights back by decades. This cannot be celebrated as any meaningful victory. 1/3

The Makerfield by-election has shown that Labour needs the support of the left to win decisively. Yet, it continues to push through transphobic guidance and impose authoritarian laws that will drive them away. It’s time for a government for the many, not the few. news.sky.com/story/makerf...

Any LGBT+ organisation which comes out uncritically celebrating whatever this ends up being – when Labour have just laid a trans bathroom ban before Parliament – will be showing their complete political uselessness.
EXCL: Hearing from multiple sources tonight that the government is moving at pace to announce the long-promised ban on so-called conversion therapy in the coming days. The ban was first pledged by Theresa May but got caught up in complexities with regards to gender identity.
At this point, I genuinely believe the entire public is being actively gaslit by both the media, and Esther Ghey herself, into forgetting that Brianna Ghey was murdered, by people she knew from school, in real life, who were partly influenced by transphobia, fuelled by the media and politicians.
Nice to see the media has finally noticed the biggest EDM in years. But wait, isn’t news only relevant when it’s against trans people? www.theguardian.com/society/2026...

It’s never been about free speech. Reform stands for discrimination against anyone that isn’t a white male millionaire.
Reform would ban schools “from engaging in diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives and appoint Whitehall enforcers to ensure compliance”. This is reminiscent of a police state. Farage doesn’t believe in “free speech”, he only believes in you having the freedom to say what he wants to hear!
Good point Bridget, the Gestapo reference should have been made in reference to your policing of women’s gender conformity and not private school VAT.
The Gestapo marched hundreds of thousands of innocent people to their deaths. I've ended private schools' tax breaks to invest in state schools. No responsible leader makes vile comparisons like this. Kemi Badenoch is not fit to be Prime Minister.
They aren't going to use their anti-trans playbook on the rest of the rainbow, they are already doing it.
What year is it?
