New: the EHRC’s code of practice is set to come into effect on 5th August, after the minister made a commencement order that has now been published. More to follow. www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2026/78...

The EHRC have now issued their harmful new Code of Practice ‘in the form of a draft’, per the law. This does not mean it has effect yet, it must go through a process now where the minister can decide when to bring it into force as statutory guidance. www.equalityhumanrights.com/guidance/cod...

Facebook saw fit to remind me that a year ago I stood in Parliament alongside @theabigailthorn.bsky.social in one of the largest protest actions in UK history. A year later, Abigail's latest essay calls out the conversion practices of the NHS, and Parliament cheers a ban that excludes healthcare.
