There’s lots of takes about boss design in here, makes for an interesting read. The only thing I think I boss should do is provide a checkpoint right after all the intro bullshit and make sure any items you go in with are there when you reload that checkpoint (looking at you bayo origins)
Kayin@kayin.moe · 3mo agoSaw someone talking about how "lukewarm take it should be possible to beat bosses on the first try" and like yeah I don't wanna dunk cause it seems lukewarm, but got that type of thinking, spanning back to the 2000s made games real fucking dry. Never trust impulses like that, even if they seem mild!
its very funny that bluesky has designed an image carousel that lacks basic image carousel features. things that we learned over the last twenty years
It stinks even more on desktop! There is no "click to advance" arrow so you have to grab and pull with your mouse. Bluesky already sucked for navigating desktop with a keyboard but this makes it even worse!

Yesterday I received a text message from a friend; “Dunno if you’ve been following the Artemis Mission. They’re about to come around from the moon orbit. Youtube.” I had been following the space mission a little… but not too closely. You remember that old Simpsons bit about the family anxiously rushing to pull the plug on the television to avoid being subjected to a shuttle launch? I can kind of relate to that, not because science isn’t cool or the achievements of the space program are anything to be laughed at or derided, but because who cares? You know what I mean, who cares?
