The average America is just totally, completely wrong about immigration, thanks to a combination of a lack of education and a deluge of right-wing propaganda for which the left has never had a remotely satisfactory answer. The standard normie response of "Just come legally!" is utterly unrealistic.

I dunno if anyone has spent any time in a baseball dugout, but half the time it's "let's see if I can say dumb shit with enough conviction to get people to believe me." And then they start believing it themselves.

Hypothetical: a power plant is shut down by cyber attack. Dozens die. The tradecraft has all the forensics indicative of a known state actor org. But initial access was the result of gross negligence by the ownership of said plant regarding cybersecurity. Should the U.S. government retaliate?

I'm using the Colonial Pipeline as an example except an APT instead of a criminal sends the phishing email: critical infrastructure ICS system gets shutdown, but it's someone gets phished and the APT gets access to a VPN. Is that "go to war" territory? I'm glad I don't have to decide that.
