does anyone know how to start drawing again when you've thoroughly internalized that you are an uncreative untalented failure and nothing you've ever made is worthy of existing

"It's given a lot of people permission to be themselves, to not dream it, be it, which is the motto of the movie, really. I would like to be remembered for that." Farewell to Tim Curry (1946-2026) #RIP

imo everyone should go read a book and donate to the imagination library and/or your local library if you can today. go fight back against the literacy crisis and the war on books and libraries in her memory
In my 30s I will overcome the crushing shame of expressing opinions and sharing my creative works and presenting physically in a way that brings me joy
i'm firmly of the belief that everyone should have a creative hobby. even if you aren't "good" at it. it keeps your critical thinking skills engaged, it reminds you that you're still capable of learning and growing and improving at things, it helps you connect to other people. you gotta make stuff!
Know that libraries count things. How many people have cards, how many times a book or DVD or CD is checked out, etc. And then we take those numbers to our internal staff and say "look, people want this" to justify purchases, and then to local govts to say "look, we need to stay open".
Just a reminder. I'm always surprised how many people aren't aware of this. #Libraries
