THREAD. A collection of photographs of excellent horses and ponies I have met on my walks in the British countryside. You will find the vital biographical information for each horse or pony in the alt text.

A pony who is displaying anger towards me because I have had the temerity to suggest its love of being emo is "just a phase" rather than an authentic commitment for life.

THREAD. In today's exclusive newspaper interview the actor, influencer and designer Philippa Islington-Smythe (pictured) discusses the price of fame, her controversial new perfume, working with Margot Robbie and how becoming a parent changed her perspective on the world... (more in alt text)

Philippa Islington-Smythe - aka my cat Roscoe - hanging out on her favourite armchair, but mentally trapped in a reverie about the summer of 1995.

I found these four giclee prints stored in between the pages of a scrapbook behind my reading chair in my workroom while tidying up earlier. Just £45 + P&P I’ll sign & title them (titles in alt text). A ruddy bargain! Email me at: nicktankardart@gmail.com

Drugstore, Manhattan. A black pen in a crosshatch technique illustration of an old style drugs & cosmetics corner store in New York. Out of the Woods. Black pen, acrylic & watercolour illustration of an old bloke with a beard out walking in woodland. He has a backpack, lamp and walking stick as he takes a breather on a tree root. Rays of misty orange and yellow sunlight beams through the lilac coloured branches of trees. Means of Escape. A black pen illustration in a crosshatch technique of a bloke with a beard rowing a small boat along a choppy canal in a stylised industrial town. Huge turbine wheels imbedded in high scale walls above his head, buildings of the town above the wheels. Heavy chains hang from an unseen source, an atmospheric sky. The Rays. Black pen in a crosshatch technique of that curly bearded bloke once more. He stands on a bridge overlooking a river winding its way through a stylised industrial town. Rays of sunlight illuminates countryside in the far distance.

A handful of guys asserting the right to pillage all human knowledge and creative labor to sell it back to people they've convinced not to value human knowledge and creative labor in order to amass personal wealth and power is not only gross, it's profoundly uninteresting.

the whole "women's sports exist to protect women from men" framing is hilarious, given that a lot of these divisions were initially formed because men were deeply embarrassed any time a woman beat them at a sport olympic shooting was mixed gender right up until a woman won the gold

King of the Mountain (2005). Acrylic on paper. 36 x 23.5 cm £395 +P&P I was listening a lot to Aerial by Kate Bush in 2005. I took a track from that album as the title for this one as it seemed to fit. Inspired by a photo of the Lakes, UK. Email me at: nicktankardart@gmail.com to purchase.

An acrylic painting of a dramatic sky with a beam of sunlight illuminating a green valley surrounded by dark mountains. One side of a mountain seems to have a face, the King of the Mountain?
Atmospheric.
