Not sure people understand how bad El Niño already is. In Southern California today, we had an offshore pacific hurricane (not normal) take out homes and beaches. We had temperatures topping 111°F with high humidity. There's a fire in LA. And we are just getting started with El Niño.

The footage coming out of Nepal is horrific. So many lives swept away in an instance. And the confronting reality that there is a direct line between this disaster and deaths, and countries like Australia doubling down on fossil fuel production/exports and accelerating climate change.
