All it took was one person to confront Rob Sand at his town hall for his anti-trans statements. There are 26 Democrats that have taken bad votes or made bad statements towards transgender people. Those who disagreed with my article said to talk to the dems instead. So, we are. Go do it!

He refused to, and in fact said he supported sports bans. Another constituent shouted "COWARD!" in the background. Subscribe to support our journalism.
They should say “I’m not recording video, I’m taking a lot of stills really fast.” And then they can debate discrete ve continuous models of time.

It will be interesting for Trump’s goons to discover that “pretending” to commit voter fraud … is voter fraud and can be prosecuted. It’s no different from “pretending” to hold up a bank to see if a real bank robber joins you in the effort.

Justin Baragona@justinbaragona.bsky.social · 18h agoThis is just preliminary data (final numbers will be released at 4 pm), but the '60 Minutes' premiere averaged 7.7 million viewers and 1.5 mill in the 25-54 demo, down 19% and 33%, respectively, compared to last season's debut. This marks the lowest-rated premiere this century, if the numbers hold.
This is a reprehensible thing for Adam Carolla to say. Might as well call Talarico a “n——— lover.”

This is a powerful graph: in just the last 10 years, the % of workers worried about losing their jobs to technology has DOUBLED and college graduates are now just as worried as non-graduates. This will affect how people vote.

Please read this entire thread and remember that all of these restrictions on trans peoples’ lives are NEW. This is a targeted effort to marginalize and inflict suffering through denial of rights. That’s why people are angry at Dems who go along with this.
Alejandra Caraballo@esqueer.net · 2d agoCis people do not understand how much trans people's rights have regressed in just 5 years. 5 years ago, there were none of these restrictions. 19 states banned legal recognition 21 states have bathroom bans 8 states ban gender marker changes on DLs 25 ban gender affirming care for trans youth
So when a Dem says they agree with any of this, they are taking a position that is against what trans people ALREADY HAD just 5 years ago. That's why trans people won't accept it. It's not about progress, it's about preventing a managed decline in civil rights agreed to by Democrats.

This. You don't have to like trans criticism of anti-trans Dems. But telling us we have to shut up and pretend to love them is dehumanizing bullshit. We have consciousness, emotions, agency. We get to decide our own votes. Don't like it? Fuck off.
Perfect illustration of the inhumanity of these stupid “bathroom bills”: Trans man in the UK could use men’s room and break the law or use the women’s room and be ostracized. Those are his choices. The real purpose of these laws is to tell trans people not to exist.
Alejandra Caraballo@esqueer.net · 4d agoA trans man in the UK has been banned in the workplace restrooms after he was forced to use the women's restrooms to comply with the new EHRC guidance. The women complained because he is visibly male and so they told him he can't use any bathroom.

attacking trans people hurts dem politicians and that take is missing from this whole news cycle. dems attacking trans people makes it more likely you will lose, defending trans people makes it more likely they win I want democrats to win so they need to defend trans people

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com · 6d agoAs someone who has been covering transgender rights for years, let me be clear about something: When you see capitulation over sports, know that it NEVER stops at sports. And in fact, Turek illustrated this just yesterday when he embraced a federal ban on funding for all trans care.
Once you've granted the idea that it's dangerous to allow trans kids to play organized sports, you're already 99% of the way to agreeing to bathroom bans. You've stipulated to the transphobes' central argument.

I think I figured out Trump’s fixation with his ballroom. My theory: when he was hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein and raping underage girls, they referred to the place they did that as “the ballroom.” So I think Trump believes he’s building a new little girl rape room. That’s why he’s excited.
