Saying Grok killed the children is like saying the bomb killed the children. Those children were murdered by everyone in the chain of command of that decision making process. And we should seek justice for that, among many other things.

Kickstarter officially banning adult content now. Knew this was coming, but it still sucks to have yet another part of the internet that I've been explicitly evicted from. Digital gentrification is exhausting.

It's a long document that's formatted in a way that I can't copy and paste all the text that's in it, but the first is that all point and anything sexual is now banned.This part of the document outlines how even self censoring your own work will not work, because even the implication of sex is too much. Even in prose works.This document is confusing because it says that erotic comics ARE allowed... you just can't show sex acts or genitals or try to arouse people. Also you can make sex toys, just so long as they're not for sexual gratification. This is how Kickstarter's email began: "Hello, Kickstarter has always been a home for bold, boundary-pushing creative work, including mature content projects like romance novels, nude art books, and provocative comics. Creators working in this space are a valued part of our community, and that hasn’t changed." And yet it definitely has changed.

Anyone else miss when movies used puppeteering, costumes and special effects like they did in the original Star Wars trilogy? Rewatching the trilogy and it still looks so good and holds up well even to this day.

So I'm thinking about getting a landline and having my phone hidden away for a month. I want to see how much more productive I am without this nuisance in my pocket and without being at people's beck and call round the clock. I bet my mental health sky rockets.

The most annoying part about everyone being so god damn illiterate these days is you can't complain online without people not understanding what you're saying. They misunderstand bc they don't have any reading comprehension skills and you're having to walk ppl through the most simplistic statements.
