It’s ok, I don’t think I’m that interesting either

One of the clear takeaways from “The Great Influenza” that’s all too resonant today is that 1920s culture valorized WWI heroes, but wanted to memory hole the pandemic. Curious if there were witch hunts targeting those who tried to keep people safe too, or if that’s a modern innovation?

There’s a web comic that shows a tangle of lines converging at “now” to demonstrate the lives you haven’t lives and then extending into the future to show all the lives you still could live. And I can’t find it. Help!😭
