Someone hire Raquel to make this exact video game, please.
Little personal project I've been working on! Not many people may know this by but I'm a big horror fan. I'd love to work on a horror game or project someday 👻 Currently looking for work so if you have an opportunity would love to chat 💬 #lookingforwork #characterdesign #cthulhu #gamedev #art
A picture of Zool. Anyone remember Zool? Did anyone actually like Zool? I thought I did until I played it again. Cool character, great product placement(?!), awful game.
This is an awful thing I've noticed I do, and it's of value if you're making game trailers. There's a strong chance I'm not even clicking your thumbnail anymore unless I've vetted it by previewing the timeline. I feel like it's probably sensible to consider editing your trailer accordingly.
This is a bit of an aside BUT I'm shocked at the number of trailers I'm 'watching' by dragging the cursor across the timeline in youTube preview and looking at the thumbnail to decide if the trailer is worth sitting through an advert for. Suspect I'm not the only one and I suspect trailers...
Entirely possible Unity have just pushed the most exciting update of my lifetime. Will be checking this out asap, HUGE if this works as advertised. www.youtube.com/shorts/YwcDU...

The very first thing that happens when you fire up Final Fantasy 7 Remake, even before any splash screens or menus, is you get an urgent looking popup that reads ❗ You are now able to claim your revival earrings
There's a bit in Earth Must Die where you have to convince a ship full of humans to vote to run the ship they're travelling on into the sun. You do it through xenophobia, folksy posturing and a catchy slogan and I feel like that might be the best political satire I've seen in ages
Game dev is weird because some days you get more of a feature done before lunch than you did in the entire of last week. Making games continues to be *really hard* most of the time (except today when it was fine).
Blimps are so handy for signifying that a story is taking place in a parallel universe. You open a scene in iconic London but holy fuck is that a *blimp*? and you know you're in a parallel universe. Easiest shorthand ever. I think Fringe did it?
Batman the animated series made me believe in a formative manner that there’d be a whole Fucking lot more goddamn blimps in my life. But there’s almost no blimps. Every time I see a blimp, I gasp. I shouldn’t have to gasp. Blimp should be around for my life. Where blimp
If they're doing this (and let's be honest, they are), I think we need to push for a commitment to supply 3rd party industry bodies with full source code, assets, materials etc for purposes of preservation. Our post release pipeline needs to change.

Here's a fun game via @machill54.bsky.social on the Size Five Games Discord: how long does it take you to find @alexhorne.bsky.social on this image from 2003? Here's a clue, it'll take way longer than you'd ever imagine possible.

Jank is really good. It has something of the PCZONE about it, which I genuinely think is the highest praise games writing can get. Have they interviewed me? No. Have they covered my games? Also no, which is why I hope they don't last a second 6 months but if they somehow DO you should follow along.
Jank is six months old. So what? Big deal. www.jank.cool/jank-is-six-...
This is great. This is so helpful because instead of just fixing the problem of climate change we could all get a sauna and live with it. Perfect solution, good job. Is there an issue that saunas are made of very dry wood when the wildfires catch up with you, do we think? Or is that fine?
It's weird that AI data centres are buying up all the consumer computer components they use to make Playstations, like they're buying Nvidia graphics cards from PC World. It makes more sense in my head that they should build their own one giant RAM and leave our loads-of-little-ones alone.
Godot's rise is something I've seen a lot of behind the scenes lately. If you're a jobbing coder, it's definitely worth spending some evenings getting to grips with it so you can slap it on your CV. Lots of indie/ AA titles are gravitating towards it.
Well, it finally happened! After 9 years of Unity dominance, Godot was the most used game engine for GMTK Game Jam 2026 submissions. 🤖 Godot - 47% 🎮 Unity - 34% 🛠️GameMaker - 5% 🚀 Unreal Engine - 3% ✨ Other - 11%
AI hungrily feasting on books and destroying them because it has poisoned the internet with its own hallucinations is a great plot for a science fiction novel.

Completed Earth Must Die and thoroughly enjoyed it! Some truly laugh-out-loud moments with great puzzles, graphics reminiscent of post-pixel art Lucas Arts games and a stacked voice cast to boot! Nice one @danthat.bsky.social @timegentleman.bsky.social! store.steampowered.com/app/3639780/...
Honestly one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The awkwardness is palpable, and the deftness with which they remove the corpse is 😗👌
Quick thinking having a tablecloth handy. I didn’t even notice the twitching from that dead robot.
When you first meet this character, Bond is getting off the back of a cargo plane. The man grumbles "You're late." to indicate what a no nonsense hard ass he is MOTHERFUCKER DO YOU THINK I WAS FLYING THE PLANE? I was on the plane. Its take off and landing times were NOTHING TO DO WITH ME
