In the past you were paying for treatments that didn't work, or sometimes not paying because no treatment was available. Yes, treating cancer costs a fortune... but fifty years ago, a lot of the time, the treatment plan was "wait for death"

You can't just ditch the owners. You have to buy them out for billions. And then you have to assemble a front office and coaching staff and stadium staff and partnership deals and shit better get some lawyers too, you never know who'll sue once the players turn out to be pricks just like the owner.
