This guy never served. He faked an injury to avoid the draft. None of his children have served. He called those who did serve their country "suckers and losers." He skipped the centenary memorial for servicemen who died in WWI because it was drizzling. This is more than usually repellent.
My impression as a non-Michigander is that this primary was a lot uglier online than it was in-person, similar to Texas, and no matter who won there would be very few bitter primary voters sitting out the general. Nevertheless some people should consider why this is a big channel for their rage.

re: data centers, I think ppl are right that its a glonzo that definitely has the potential to come back & bite cities/localities in the ass bc it hinges on NIMBY sentiment, but, even given that, its kinda crazy that Rs are looking at how unpopular they are & are like "yep! Still pro-data center!"
