You could and should have stopped with the first paragraph, Mayor. There's 364 other days of the year when you could have condemned Israel's response to this atrocity. But this is like commemorating the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by lecturing us about our invasion of Iraq.

Do you know who are the most precise scholars on the distinctions between a genocide and war crimes. The prosecutors at the ICC. Their indictment charges Netanyahu, rightly, with war crimes up to and including crimes against humanity. So not apologists. You know what charge they did not level? Yup.

THE PROBLEM WITH "FREE PALESTINE” It's probably the most successful slogan of the last decade. It's also one of the least specific. That's not a bug. It's a feature. Thought bubble: “Okay, but… what does it actually mean?” (Asking for a friend)

When I was volunteering at the COVID19 vaccine POD in 2021, people would say over and over again that they were getting vaccinated for the people they love. Last year, only 17.5% of American adults got the COVID19 vaccine. Please get one for the people you love. 💕
