Thanks to some release schedule adjustments we had to make, it's already Homeworlds preview time! You know what that means: time for teasers #FFGStaff starwarsunlimited.com/articles/rid...

Today, August 4, 2026, is the setting of Ray Bradbury’s short story “There Will Come Soft Rains” about a fully automated house continuing on after the family who lived there and the world around it died in a nuclear blast.
“I asked ChatGPT, I asked Grok” Yeah well I asked a Halo 3 lobby and they all said you’re a dumb bitch
More cops have been arrested for using flock cameras to stalk women than there are transgender athletes in youth sports.
All great families should follow this progression.
Ezra was the last leader we added to the set, and we debated a fair bit on which version to depict. Obviously for the era, a Peridea version of the character made more sense, but that version really isn't aggression aspect and it felt weird not having the first Ezra leader be from Rebels #FFGStaff
I'm so done, they went deep into the lore and pulled out characters I never thought would receive cards. This isn't even a retail-available set, my wallet is ruined 😭 (Feroz has been overdue for a card by a decade, but I NEVER thought they would make Sash and Waistcoat)
It's juiced
I've been losing my mind for the past several hours at this point. They custom-made a commander for my suspend deck and made it one of my favorite characters #mtg
Well, for the Venser fans.
Hm. -Closing off the streets to the White House -Reinforcing the entrances -Permanently billeting the National Guard in DC until 2028 -Offering a blanket pardon to EVERYONE in the Trump admin Certainly sounds like they plan to peacefully hand off power and not at all like another coup in 93 days.
I think it also revealed just how quickly a bunch of otherwise very hard problems can be to solve with global collective action. The fuckin Ganga was running clear water for the only time in my lifetime because for 2 weeks nobody threw garbage in it. The canals in Venice had fish.
Covid lockdowns demonstrated, in a deeply imperfect way, the possibility of large-scale social solidarity for a higher cause. That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.
Holy shit Halo Studios went HARD on the level 343 Guilty Spark. Backlighting the Chief with red light before he disembarks the pelican so it looks like he's in hell is 😍 This game looks so beautiful. And I can't understand all the Forerunner architecture hate; it looks totally appropriate
It's frustrating how bad the takes are from almost every single content creator I've seen about Halo: Campaign Evolved, even the ones who I usually trust to have reasonable perspectives on things. It's got some flaws, but the game is really good ya'll
I'm making my way slowly Halo: Campaign Evolved. Great game, surprisingly difficult. The gunplay is really clean & the graphics look great (though occasionally glitchy). I'd lay down my life for the new Captain Keyes, but I REALLY dislike the way the VA (& animators) has interpreted Sgt Johnson
We joke about how AI is just overcomplicated Autocorrect but we don't talk about how it's making Autocorrect worse, actually.
Man, autocorrect has gotten significantly worse lately. You're supposed to fix my typos, not learn them
Apparently there was a bug in the system, because a Behind Unlimited article from last month also just published yesterday! I wanted to write about the original design process for the Twin Suns format, in celebration of the first Twin Suns precon decks #FFGStaff starwarsunlimited.com/articles/beh...

Been too busy to post much on socials, but my year-in-retrospect article just published so I want to call attention to it! One of the most important life heuristics I've embraced is asking "What did we learn?" after everything. Thus, an article: starwarsunlimited.com/articles/les... #FFGStaff

Cool cool, I was gonna make some fun social posts now that Im at the Venetian for the Galactic Championships but my wallet got stolen within the first hour since I got here so you know 🤷♂️
Do you want to know how popular school vouchers are? They have never won on a ballot. Not once. In any state. Ever. The only way states are able pass a school voucher scheme is behind closed doors. Legislatively. The people would never approve their tax dollars going to private religious schools.
The fuckers called Eisenhower a commie and the interstate highway system a commie plot to make America commie, just so you know how long this commie bullshit has been going on.
Feels weird, but when Campaign Evolved comes out next week I'm gonna uninstall Halo: Infinite. I'll get better modern single player gameplay from Campaign Evolved, and Marathon/MCC have better multiplayer, so there's no real reason to keep it around anymore. RIP to a good one
I have seen AI described as a "technology founded on a lack of consent" and it has been echoing in my head since then
Thinking about why women might not want to use a product that has forced itself into every software interface to confidently shout things that are wrong
One of the more misogynistic takes currently trending in the AI policy space is "women use less AI than men because they have less tech literacy" Ok but have you considered that women use less AI than men because we have more tech literacy?
Pete Hegseth: "We need our warriors to embrace the Spartan mindset" U.S. Military: *suffers crushing defeat to the Persians*
If a team makes a game that gets great reviews and doesn't sell, that's a biz failing but the silver lining is you caught lighting in a bottle -- protect that team! It's worth its weight in gold. If you jettison the team but keep the biz people, I don't know what to tell you
