really think that if democrats hold any chamber of congress next year that a condition of passing a budget is the removal of russ vought, who has a genuinely tyrannical vision of presidential power and is a focal point of the lawlessness of the trump administration

I don’t think people really understand how bad the OMB proposed rule is going to be for state and local govt. We’re talking about putting a full third of state budgets under the explicit control of Russ Vought. (1/2) www.bondbuyer.com/news/cities-...

No statement from Mitch McConnell on the sudden passing of his senate colleague? So much for decorum

He also tried to shut it down because Brett brought his daughters (inappropriate for children) and used dog whistles by calling it a “drive by shooting.”

My most vivid memory of Graham is from Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing. Graham was legitimately angry that Dr. Ford's testimony had not been disclosed and vetted earlier. He then pivoted into a conspiratorial, partisan attack on Senators who thought that sexual assault was a serious matter.

Just want to point out the slippage between vigilantism and state power here. Per this account, an unmarked car tries to stop Araujo, he tries to get away (as many people would do if a rando tried to stop us), he's shot by state agents, agency officials lie about it, and the Twitter mob takes over.

This is absolutely devastating and infuriating. ICE officers in an unmarked car shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a father of three, on his way to work. Then the smear machine immediately kicked in. Read the words of his son, and demand accountability: www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...
