that it runs through Black folx. Black women specifically. That is not a talking point. That is a documented pattern that shows up election after election, and it is time that our collective behavior starts to align with that reality. What the data also shows is that whiteness has a politics.

The data does not lie. Black women turned out at 94% Democratic. Black men at 77%. Every non-white voting bloc leaned Democratic by double digits. White men voted Republican at 61%. White women at 59%. If you want a progressive agenda in this country, it must be acknowledged and respected,

Bar chart titled “Gender by race” showing 2026 midterm voting patterns by race and gender. White men (31% of voters): 61% Republican, 38% Democrat. White women (36%): 59% Republican, 40% Democrat. Black men (4%): 22% Republican, 77% Democrat. Black women (6%): 5% Republican, 94% Democrat. Latino men (8%): 45% Republican, 53% Democrat. Latino women (9%): 42% Republican, 58% Democrat. All others (6%): 35% Republican, 63% Democrat.

Watched MAXXXINE tonight. Of the three (of which X and PEARL were the preceding films), it’s by far the weakest. The Hollywood set set-pieces were good, and Kevin Bacon hamming it up as a sleazy private detective was very fun, but it ultimately suffered from not knowing what it wanted to do.

If you want to raise a middle finger to censorship, you can still listen to PLAYGROUND by Aron Beauregard on Audible and there is a 30-day free trial option too. Didn’t actually want to read it tbh (sounds like it might be a bit too extreme even for me) but now I’ve been told I can’t, I’m gonna.

Before I head out for Glasgow for the weekend, I'm now less than 20 days away from applying for settlement, so absolutely any amount you can help with--or even just a share--I'd appreciate so so much. Thanks in advance, you guys are the best. x gofund.me/7b3589a4e

I haven’t written a *word* creatively for like a month and it’s been getting me down. Opened the document I’d been working on today and threw in 300+ words like a dam burst, and it felt so good. #amwriting

If you’re at OctoCon, I’ll be on the 5:30 panel ‘When Do We Kill The Horror Franchise (And Make It Stay Dead)?’ Slasher movies! Unnecessary sequels! Come watch us discuss the rights, wrongs, and just plain WTFs of our favourite horror franchises.

It should be mandatory for men to listen to, and appreciate, and understand, and be able to answer in-depth questions on the entire back catalogues, themes and meanings of the songs of: Lingua Ignota Tori Amos Punch Couch Slut Peaches before even approaching women.

Today on Bluesky: - Called out a misogynist for participating in rape advocacy against all women because 47% of them voted for Trump - STRAIGHT AWAY got accused of virtually ‘raping his freedom of speech’ - Him: ‘Learn To Read!’ - Him: ‘You’re a snowflake!’ Sure dude. I’m the snowflake. Ok.

I managed to mostly not know any of this until today. This detail is new to me. The horror coursing through my body feels like poison. My God, men. Decide RIGHT FUCKING NOW what you'll do if a woman is sexually harassed or assaulted in your vicinity. Ask another man to do the same. TALK ABOUT IT.

“It’s not ALL men.” None of the 50+ men the Cornell rapists invited to come join them in raping a woman they’d drugged went to the authorities or tried to stop it. Not all men would rape an unconscious woman, but where are the men who’d try to stop it, or EVEN FUCKING OBJECT?

Just throwing my hat in the ring re: the ‘Choosin’ Texas’ discourse - the ONLY reason I’ve heard it is because mainstream chart radio is constantly on in my office (not my choice). If that weren’t the case I doubt I would even know what it was. People shouting about ‘living in a bubble’ - yeah. And?
