I took part in Art Fight this year to basically force myself to draw, since I've always wanted to get better but I've really been neglecting it. I can already tell I improved during just that one month.

Explo the Typhlosion just vibing on the grass. Look at this absolute cutie!

Just finished watching The Amazing Digital Circus. Great show, I love how it explores interpersonal and mental health issues. Gooseworx did an amazing job! My one grievance is with the fandom; I can't believe how many people think Jax is/was unsalvageable. Did you even watch the series?!

Working on a horror game made me realize that I really don't know how to make a horror game. I've been debating whether I should put it on ice and work on something narratively simpler until I know what to do, or just say "fuck it" and do it anyway, at the risk of ending up with a dogshit game.

Oh, you've made a video game? And you want people to play it? Well, let's talk about how to do that better. How, exactly, can you make sure people care about your game and want to tell other people about it? Check it out here: docseuss.medium.com/its-not-enou...

it’s not enough to build something, part 1

Some years ago, before I entered the industry, I had a minute disagreement with someone in the comments section of a Kotaku article. I was…

Back on my electronics bullshit! That experiment last time gave me an idea, so this time I made a 9 by 11 led matrix, and I'll try to make a lil game with it. It's super jank, but it works! Took the entire afternoon, I'll make the driver circuit later 🥵

LED matrix, built on a hand-cut masonite board, front view.LED matrix, rear view. I soldered each row and column directly with the pins of each LED. I should probably have used jumper wires or at least soldered individual wires, but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

Another big milestone reached tonight: I figured out how to build a led matrix! That circuit layout could use some improvement tho. Also, the Raspberry Pi Pico is a joy to work with! Nothing beats a bare metal microcontroller, no OS required ❤️
