Just struck me that 2026 is the 50th anniversary of (arguably) dub reggae's peak? King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown, Super Ape, Dub in Blood, Tapper Zukie In Dub, Joe Gibbs African Dub All-Mighty (Chapter 2), Garvey's Ghost, Harry Mudie Meet King Tubby's. Etc! Some of greatest music ever recorded.

Delicious post-lunch drinks were had at Loos American Bar, which was a serene space to escape the heat on a Saturday afternoon! Very impressive room, designed in 1908 by the famous and influential architect Adolf Loos. Beautiful space, with mirrors that make it look bigger than it is.
David Wondrich@davidwondrich.bsky.social · 2mo agoFor Vienna, Loos American Bar is historic and has excellent cocktails. It can be crowded. I also had excellent cocktails and service at the bar at the Ritz Carlton on Schubertring, which is neither historic nor crowded.
