The proposed budget is unfairly balanced on the backs of working families, while no sacrifice is being asked of wealthy residents who can give more. My proposal is simple: restore childcare, paid family leave, and healthcare with a modest surcharge on passive wealth.

Let DC's Chief Financial Officer know that DC residents want him to certify the contingency budget: In his September revenue forecast, Chief Financial Officer Lee revealed that has an unexpected surplus of funds. With these funds, the CFO is expected to certify DC's contingency budget list containing funding for essential programs to support our community's health, wellbeing, and dignity. Send a letter to the CFO Lee urging him to ensure the contingency budget gets certified so much-needed relief can reach DC residents.
