I see people online so ecstatically exited about GTA6, and I want to say “Dude, there’s not a game in existence that will bring back the experience you had as a teenager playing GTA”. Just go on twitch and watch other people enjoy games with a passion your tired soul can no longer attain…

If you want to fight the good fight against AI imagery excess - commission a furry artist. Even if it’s just five bucks on stream for a goofy scribble of your character. Art is made of people, and thoughtful patronage has been what keeps art thriving for thousands of years.

I love that my doctors hold music takes time out to say that if I'm vomiting blood, I should call 999... I think it speaks to our nations looney stoicism, not only that some blood spewing punter might meekly wait on hold for 10 minutes, but that it happened often enough to warrant the reminder.

Once, many years back, I drew a series of fursuit portraits. The poses were heavily based on photos I’d taken, sometimes with some exaggeration, although often just directly inspired by the fursuits. Here’s some samples.

Just because I approve of a single recent UK government policy, does not imply I approve of everything they do. UK government is a process, not a bloody sports team. I'm just happy my city's buses are moving to public control :)

When I was a teenager, I saw Brian Eno on the train to Manchester. I looked sufficiently startled that he gave me a tight smile and a theatrical flex of the eyebrows. I was absolutely mortified, and avoided looking their way for the rest of the journey, despite facing them across the aisle.

This is a great pic of Tide from @dairishgoat.bsky.social (Hey goat, got any more good pics of them? :) 'S all about those squared off paws. Soon as I saw those in the character sheet, I wanted to make 'em. Of course it also helps that Blue does such a fantastic job of bouncing around in them.

In the interests of Neurodiversity, I'd like to see a study into how many people find getting angry motivating to go out and seek change in the world, and how many are utterly paralyzed by it. Because, personally, I have a level of anger that gets things done, and beyond that, I'm useless...

I just realised that in late 70’s Japan, Jazz fusion city pop was the sophisticated sound of the future. It’s the music they played it in the arcades. It’s the music you heard while space invaders went boop boop boop. And that’s why, come the 90s, Japanese games came with a side of smooth jazz.
