We just updated our "From the Archives" feature for the first time in a while, thanks in large part to our new intern, Gabrien Smith.

This pretty much nails the Odyssey casting ridiculousness. Also: The Conquerors was filmed in Utah, near nuclear test sites, and 91 of 220 crew members (including Wayne) wound up with cancer. That's peak American irony right there for the celebrity spokesperson for American imperialism.

We hope that this goes without saying, but At Length stands firmly against the “inevitability” of generative AI and the theft—of poems, essays, novels, research, and so much more—upon which large language models are founded. And we've updated our submission guidelines to prohibit such work.
