It’s really fucked up we told generations of kids they had to take out personal loans in order to improve their lives as we cut funding to schools and when that turned out to be bullshit the general consensus has been “fuck those kids”

I do understand when people talk about work stress and "just don't stress about your job" but I can't say the same thing for lack of work/unemployment stress because the stress is constant and nowadays it's not always within your control because lack of jobs is trendy and manufactured on purpose.

Both situations either way don't need that kind of response. You can't simply tell someone to stop feeling stressed about anything. From work, to unemployment, college, or live. It's weird. It's not comforting. You could just let people vent and listen.

i have a nagging suspicion that the next decade or so is going to see a wild proliferation of "live art" - things that can be experienced with the certainty that generative/AI art is not part of - live theater, live music, public painting classes, dancing, acrobatics. the person will be the focus

When some comics became intangible online, paper became *visible* to artists again, leading to beautiful new paper comics. Now, when some "art" becomes inhuman, *we* become visible to ourselves again. What beautiful new *human* art might be the result?
