An Alpine ibex perched on the roof of a chalet in the Parc de Merlet near Chamonix, France. They are famous for their extraordinary balance and often climb onto the stone chimneys of chalets in this area to lick minerals or soak up the sun. The background offers a view of the Mont Blanc massif.
