I've been trying to convince my investigation/puzzler friends that I swear I'm not as biased as I look when I say Desktop Explorer is an absolute banger in the genre. They're at almost 1300 reviews while maintaining Overwhelmingly Positive. I wish I could erase my memory and play it again fresh.
With almost a 1000 reviews we received an overwhelmingly positive review score on Steam!!!! Play Desktop Explorer 💾
Thank you for playing 💕
Rolled credits tonight on @desktopexplorergame.com with @patricktjohnson.bsky.social ✅ Loved everything about it - the multilayered narrative, ambitious take on the desktop horror genre and the haunting music. We crushed it in six hours but I guess having two brain cells instead of one helps 🫡
One thing about Desktop Explorer's puzzles is that you never know what to expect next. Across each chapter, a new gameplay feature is introduced, and even when playing by the fakeOS system's rules, you need to bend and break them now and then. Any true puzzle fan should play it ASAP.
Dang, Desktop Explorer was really enjoyable.
As per the poll on my Discord (which you should join btw) we're playing Desktop Explorer tonight. www.twitch.tv/silentclyde
One of my favorite reviews that I wrote recently is of Desktop Explorer! An impossibly clever fakeOS puzzle narrative game where "thinking-outside-the-box" is its mantra.
Desktop Explorer Review – This Old Tech Is Frightening
Desktop Explorer tells a convincing fakeOS-based cursed tale, even if its layered puzzles prove complicated more often than not.

I talked extensively about Desktop Explorer yesterday and the more I think about it the better all the themes get. I really love how the puzzles and the overarching plot work together to create some really impactful story-telling and theming.
Desktop Explorer is not only a fantastic puzzle game but also a fantastic dive into multiple minds of trauma, exploring themes of memory degradation, abuse, and how to move forward. **Minor spoilers for plot points in game, but overall I've kept it as vague as possible so everyone can enjoy.
Today for Fan Art Friday 🖼️ I present to you two awesome pieces by sisypheanlover over on Discord. If you want to be featured next week join our server and post your content with us! We love to see it!
