This is a standard LEO trap. Trying to comply does not guarantee survival, but they use it to deflect blame anyway Example: Philando Castile was asked for his ID then told not to reach for his weapon - so he assured Yanez he wasn't and continued to get his ID as ordered Yanez shot him anyway

It's all disturbing, but this sentence really hit me for some reason: "Former colleagues in Manchester confirmed he was a volunteer firefighter there and left on poor terms." I hate to think what a person has to do to get let go from a volunteer job, and for firefighters to talk about it
