With Twitch's AI update ( That you should opt out of immediately by scrolling to the bottom at - www.twitch.tv/settings/sec... ) it means if a streamer you follow hasn't turned it off it'll be scraping chat for all messages, even if YOU have opted out, it defaults to the channel owners settings.

Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 13h agoTwitch isn't making Gen AI training *opt-in* because no one would voluntarily choose to opt in. Instead, they are offering an opt-out option.
@ streamers - i threw this together and added it to my panels, feel free to use it share it etc
I hate to say it, but this means we will all need to disclose before collabs, or even chatting at this point.

I know y'all have seen this reposted a lot today, but an additional note for fellow streamers: Make sure you disable this on your bot accounts. I have a second twitch account just for streamerbot messages, and had to opt out on that on that, too.

No stream today, my wifi seems to be cutting in and out and I don’t want to risk it, so instead I will go live Saturday for our metaphor stream, Thursday and Friday should still go ahead as planned!!

Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 2w agoTwitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
