#Cartaugust Behold! My map! This is a map of Aloutia with locations I deemed relevant at the time, lol. To be honest, some are small towns that wouldn't normally be on a world map, and I've also since elevated other cities not shows here to be more important. Made by @dewiwrites.bsky.social

Map of Aloutia, a world with three main continents and many islands. It is a fantasy world and features some geography that's impossible irl, but that's just how things happen when the ocean is literally alive and the moons can do magic

I'm struggling with the things I used to enjoy because I end up fixating on the bad parts. Like, does this harm the environment? Does engaging with this endorse the behaviour of one awful person associated with it? Can I enjoy history, wargames, etc because there's so much violence and awfulness -

I think I need to lean more into the magic and wonder of hand-drawn art. I can get very focused on parts that are 'correct' or 'incorrect' as I imagine it when working on commissions, but really the beauty is in the occasional errant lines, the varying thicknesses, the wobbly shapes. -

I'm struggling to engage with my old hobbies recently. Mini painting, gaming, writing. I think I'm struggling to find that "flow state", and it always seems like there's something else to do or I don't have the mental energy to get over that first hurdle to get back into it.
