We’re introducing a new layer of verification on Bluesky — a user-friendly, easily recognizable blue check. In addition to account verification issued by Bluesky, we're also introducing Trusted Verifiers. Select independent organizations can verify accounts directly.

Dragonfly, un client Bluesky pour le Mac et l’iPad, en attendant l’iPhone, Android et Windows

Dragonfly (abonnement ou 20 €) est un client pour le réseau social BlueSky, qui se distingue de l’officiel tout d’abord par sa compatibilité. Alors que l’app fournie par les créateurs du réseau se contente de l’iPhone (et Android), cette alternative fonctionne tout d’abord sur le Mac ainsi que l’iPad. Ses deux concepteurs ont par ailleurs un planning de développement chargé, puisqu’ils ont prévu d’adapter leur app à l’iPhone, aux terminaux Android, à Windows et même à Linux. Pour y parvenir, l’interface ne repose pas sur du code natif, elle a été codée avec Flutter, un framework qui permet de créer des apps multiplateformes à partir des technologies du web. Dragonfly en action sous macOS. Image MacGeneration. À l’usage, Dragonfly ressemble ainsi fort au site web de Bluesky, puisque c’est en gros de cela qu’il s’agit. Il y a malgré tout quelques avantages à utiliser une app pour le Mac, dont la prise en charge de quelques raccourcis clavier, comme ⌘N pour créer un nouveau message ou encore la possibilité de coller une image avec ⌘V1. Quelques fonctionnalités absentes de l’app officielle ou même du site web du réseau social sont même proposées, dont la possibilité de sauvegarder le brouillon d’un message et l’envoyer plus tard. Si vous avez plusieurs comptes, le passage de l’un à l’autre est aussi plus rapide avec ce client tiers qu’avec l’interface officielle. Les concepteurs de Dragonfly ont prévu d’autres ajouts importants, dont la synchronisation du fil de lecture entre les appareils, une fonctionnalité que Bluesky ne proposera probablement jamais. Il lui manque également quelques fonctions qui viendront par la suite, comme les notifications ou encore la gestion des messages privés. Il faut dire que l’app est encore assez récente et qu’elle évolue rapidement. La liste de fonctionnalités en cours de développement et celles qui sont prévues par la suite sont également visibles à cette adresse. Les brouillons sont gérés par Dragonfly, l’une des nouveautés de l’app face à Bluesky. Dragonfly est distribuée sur l’App Store, où elle peut être téléchargée gratuitement. Un essai de sept jours est proposé, suite à quoi il faudra choisir entre deux formules : soit un abonnement à 0,99 € par mois ou 7,99 € par an, soit un achat unique à 19,99 €. Alors que les deux créateurs sont Français, leur app n’est proposée qu’en anglais à ce stade.
