We don't have to go *that* far back in the social media timelines to prove how fucked up it was. We were so scared we were scrubbing eggs and baking the mail.
In retrospect, the so-called Failure to Launch movement was the canary in the coal mine of capitalist collapse.

I think it's unhealthy for one's greatest ideological aspirations to be hoping the bad things happen quietly and politely enough that you can tune them out for a couple years. Trump isn't a freak aberration, he's a direct result of every administration since at least Nixon.

I think it's why the faces of the hobby are often white, middle class and above. Same goes for the people making games. It's the biggest barrier to entry in this hobby.

I’ve made $600 bootstrapping my TTRPG business. Total. That’s not enough to cover a month’s worth of expenses. What gets left out of these narratives is that they had pre-existing capital and help.
