here to chill with my friends (not my cat in the profile pic, yes my cat in the banner) no future for transphobes main account (masto): https://jorts.horse/@saddestrobots

throughout Biden's entire term liberals kept posting about how Trump could exceed norms but Biden couldn't because the executive branch was full of Trump stormtroopers but for some reason "do something about that" was never on the table either

The only way to square the mainstream media's decades of handwringing and complaining about how dysfunctional NYC is and this WSJ story about how business elites have historically "called the shots" on how NYC is run is to conclude that business dingbats ruined NYC and this is how you fix it.

New York City’s business elites are long accustomed to direct access to City Hall, where even Democratic mayors felt the need to court the city’s wealthiest and most influential corporate leaders. That access is getting shredded by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

the centrist argument against soft socialists is literally just "you'll make the money mad! then the rich will suspend the pretense of democracy and send in their nazi thugs to impose martial law!" but the money is already doing that anyway, it's obvious to anyone who isn't a massive racist

The decisive failure of GOP referenda in Kansas Amendment 1 and Missouri Amendment 4 yesterday is yet another reminder of something I've been saying for a while: Voters, even Republican voters, now regularly despise and repudiate GOP attempts to use them to destroy democracy.

if establishment candidates want to start winning primaries again all you have to do is say that rich people have too much money and that youll prosecute trump admin staffers and republicans that have broken the law

Big shout out to all the people who were mad at me for not wanting them to vote labour cause they were “certain labour will be better on trans rights than the tories“, they couldn’t have done it (segregation) without you

this was happening even before the nazis bought twitter, but bootlicker-Dem influencer accounts basically operate just like the conservative ones: groundless babbling passed off as expertise, constant rage, habitual sockpuppetry to astroturf up the idea of a community agreeing with them

When you get so mad you screencap your own posts and tell yourself that it’s a banger and you’re not being made fun of.

Fuck they called it for the cunt.
Oh well, hopefully Abdul El-Sayed has a heart attack or something so we can actually win this thing in November. If he dies, I'll laugh.
51% of Democrats will have voted for someone not named Abdul El-Sayed. Scumbag DSA candidates are all worthless.

They also clearly state that offering trans women inferior third spaces to get changed may be discriminatory and that fundamentally the important thing is maintaining sensitivity and dignity of everyone affected. Which would be great if EHRC didn't decide trans women's dignity doesn't matter.

(There is nuance here, there is still some sort of protection against discrimination, but the logic is so torturous as to mean that trans people's rights are significantly more precarious, difficult to protect and difficult to balance than they previously were)
