Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.

A lot of AI and cybersecurity stuff is pretty complicated, but this latest stuff from Anthropic and OpenAI isn’t; it’s basically like if you were testing bombs and didn’t notice that instead of blowing them up in the desert you were blowing them up in a neighborhood where people live.
