Dolly Parton was honestly a saint. Just a real GOOD person. Not someone we have to make excuses for post-mortem or justify their politics. She was a cut above the rest, earned every bit of praise she ever received and her legacy lives on in every book, dollar and song she gave us.

If a rich person hates a marginalized group and spends loads of money on efforts to hurt that group, you can't really say that their hatred is "just their opinion." You can only say that if they're not doing anything to hurt those people.

She's running! Lots of little glitches but it's running. Performance is an issue at the higher difficulty levels... hopefully I can get it going. The Vectrex CPU isn't slow, but it's spending a lot of time drawing vectors.

All the sprites are in (as vectors) and the player stuff at least seems to mostly work, except for Selena being too powerful for the hardware and causing some very odd crashes. I'll talk to her about that.

As I need to remember to promote myself more often, things are starting to move and render properly. Next step is to make them stop looking like things... Oh boy I have a lot of work left to do.. and none of it is really the game engine. ;)

Back from Japan! All I bought was a janku Famicom and some microswitches (nothing special about them, but this old guy had a booth of components and the price was good!) Will post pics when I try to power it up. But for now will clean up Rick and I started the arcade port of SSA. Happy Canada Day!

So ... long story short, I was supposed to start a new job, and the project it was tied to got abruptly cancelled. I have to start commission work until a new project starts, but while I figure out how I would even price that, I'm adding new YCHs.

Finally visited Beauty and the Beast Disneyland Tokyo as a guest. This was the last attraction I got to touch as an Imagineer It was surreal to stand in front of the staircase again. Made me sad and nostalgic I still think I made the right choice moving home, but I never wanted to stop doing that.

I keep seeing "If you can't make 'xxx', FUCKING DON'T". You ever stop for two fucking seconds and think that maybe that exclusionist fucking attitude is WHY people are stealing everyone's work for machine creation? (also, fuck BSky's short fucking messages.. next post...)
