Without James, our book would’ve never became what it did. He improved every aspect and helped me become a better writer. Any publisher worth their books would be smart to have him on their team

I hit issue #50 in Bendis/Maleev Daredevil & I gotta say I’m still underwhelmed on this re read. It was like a nice pressure release of the story up to this point, but I feel there’s no clear thesis and the only thing going on is “make Matt uncomfy”

I have a rough pitch for The Hunt for Ben Solo that I think could blend well the Legends Legacy era with current canon by way of The World Between Worlds, and the Netherworld of the Force we see in Legacy of Vader, and end up setting the stage for the future of Star Wars stories
I think Pornsak’s entire body of comic work speaks louder than anything he might’ve had to do with the Arrow tv show when it comes to the potential of the Absolute GA series. Praising Condon’s run (a very good book) & Arcadia as these superior versions before Absolute even comes out

Little bit of a shelf update for my comics! I’ve branched quite a bit into Disney comics over the last 2 years and that’s been a lot of fun. I feel like I’m hitting a point where I’m closing in on a really well curated collection of things I love and have special meaning to me that I’ve read
Newest additions to the Disney comics collection: the Timeless Tales hardcovers IDW did back when they had the license. Consists of translated older stories for the first time from Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, Walt Disney Comics and Stories
Was going to read after work before going to the gym, but instead had an hour long call with @foreverykindofgeek.bsky.social about Uncle $crooge, which, is arguably better in all ways
@giannilmao.bsky.social is the best. He picked up this new Parker comic over in France for me while on his trip. Will it be hard to read? Yes. Do I care? No. I can’t wait
Can’t believe Legacy of Vader ends this week. What a book too. Hopefully there’s more to come in some way. Star Wars comics feel like they’re in a very strange place right now, and it’s not the best after almost 11 years straight of stellar publishing

I finally started Baltimore, and holy shit it’s amazing. I’m reading the novel alongside the comic and it’s fun to see them run side by side. I’m being careful to avoid spoilers with the comic since I only read a bit of the novel per day
One thing about me? I’m a sucker for a good deal and a slipcase. Scored this OOP set from someone in a Facebook group for a helluva good deal. I’ve never read any Usagi, so I’m very excited
Really amazing piece that resonated with me. Explains a lot about why I’m drawn to the genre so much and how it can help me deal with everything going on in the world

I reject the idea that it has to be conservative or reactionary, and Jacobin was kind enough to let me write this essay extolling why we can't surrender this terrain.
