My sister has this theory that the reason I don't like weed is because my brain is high all the time anyway so I don't need any extra cannabinoids. Sometimes I think that's silly and sometimes I catch myself thinking "Isn't it weird how the ape exhibit at the zoo is apes on both sides of the glass?"

I think if review scores are important to you, you just need to plan for a code freeze two weeks out from retail launch. It may be an inconvenient reality but you ignore it at your own peril.

This was also a huge issue with EU5. It changed drastically, multiple times, while I was reviewing it. Sometimes saves would break. The launch day patch was actually *worse* for stability than the one my review was based on - text had to be finalized days ahead of release.

Even past that actually, this game changed tremendously IN the review period. I wasn’t on guides and thank god, because I know multiple people who put a ton of work into guiding, and an update made it all worthless- before launch

I went to nerd karaoke, did the Power Rangers theme, tried to do a high kick, ate shit and fell on a folding card table, got back up, and finished the song. I live my life in constant, devout defiance to the bizarre millennial urge to talk about how you're so over the hill when you turn 26.

The narrative that vibecoding is going to usher in a new flood of emulation is less accurate than just admitting that all of the barriers between platforms have been fake since basically the PS4.

I saw an article floating around in which a parent was blaming Minecraft for making their kid trans. It really is disheartening to see this kind of blatant disinformation still being spread in 2026. It's been very well established that Final Fantasy XIV is the game that makes you trans.

Mostly the same results as the old version of this, except this one rated me higher for Progressivism since the questions were written much better. Hilariously, though, it called me a Progressive. (The old one said Anarcho-Communist, which is what I describe myself as.)

Holodori still doing swimsuits in... October really supports my theory that the art was ready to go for a June/July launch but it ended up getting delayed.

The debate over dungeon xp in WoW: Forever seems to miss the main reason they did it, which is to keep you in the outdoor world. That's a huge focus of Forever and WoW being the MMO that kind of popularized instances puts them in a tricky spot there. It's a Pandora's Box they can't close.

Valheim has made it into my top 10 most-played games on Steam. The list is now: 1. EU4 2. CK2 3. Elden Ring 4. CK3 5. Stellaris 6. HoI4 7. Total Warhammer (Trilogy cumulative - WH3 by itself would be #10) 8. Baldur's Gate 3 9. Valheim 10. Project Zomboid

I can't tell if they're doing a bit, but I was looking up info on hot sauces and I discovered that the r/spicy subreddit is the most aggro community I've ever seen. You can say you think Pepper A is hotter than Pepper B and the top comment is like, "Fuck you, I hope your whole family dies, idiot."

I swear to Talos if TES6 makes me go through a loading screen to enter a major city, in this 416th Year of the Fourth Era, I'm going to tear the Towers down myself.

The best way I can sum up my very complicated thoughts on Control Resonant is that it's one of those sequels that forces you to face the fact that the things you loved about the original were kind of peripheral to the creative vision of it. It was accidentally a better game than it was trying to be.

Gears is definitely in that category of mega-franchises that are like, from the very first moments of the very first trailer I saw for this it did absolutely nothing to make itself intriguing to me in any way.

Latest WSJ poll: "63% want to pause AI development 61% want a billionaire wealth tax 59% want Medicare for All 57% want a $20 minimum wage 58% want to end U.S. military aid to Israel" This is the center of the country politically. it is time all adjust to this political spectrum, esp. media.

The thing that always bugs me about GTA RP is that no matter how much work they put into making an immersive world, you can never fully escape the Jr. High boys' locker room sense of humor. Here's this amazing old town main street built with so much care. Let me look up real estate listings on FuckR

It's a holiday I like to call Freelancegiving, when I have $100 left in my bank account on the last day of the month and more than $5000 in unpaid invoices.

It doesn't matter what "wins" you think you could deliver by "moderating" on trans issues, or even staying quiet about it. A society that doesn't have the principles or the courage to loudly and ferociously defend trans kids isn't a society even worth saving from itself.

It is 2015. The Witcher 3 has been released. I am starting a 90-hour playthrough I will not finish. It is 2022. The Witcher 3 has been released. I am starting a 90-hour playthrough I will not finish. It is 2026. The Witcher 3 has been released. I am starting a 90-hour playthrough I will not finish

Denver is going to get hit tomorrow with an "unprecedented" event where the remnants of a hurricane from the Gulf of California run into an arctic cold front and the guy on the news literally said no one knows what is going to happen. Actual, "new weather just dropped"
