A post online that got a bunch of traction teased a christian nationalist militia that's growing, but hid all of the info and group name behind a substack paywall. The group is called Ozark Christian Initiative, with chapters in MO, AK, TX, OK, and NE. Fuck people who gatekeep info on the far-right.
Brilyn Hollyhand was briefly pitched as "The Next Charlie Kirk." You can practically see the interest in him dissipate in real time. He was getting 10k+ views in the immediate aftermath of Kirk's death, a few months later he was barely hitting triple digits.

NEW: The 7th Circuit joins the chorus today, issuing a 2-1 decision ruling against the Trump admin on whether a 1996 law mandated the detention without a bond hearing of all undocumented immigrants who ever crossed the border unlawfully. The split is now 6-2 against Trump.
Aaron Reichlin-Melnick@reichlinmelnick.bsky.social · 6d agoGreat news; yet another court finds that ICE and the DOJ were wrong to declare that Congress secretly mandated detention of millions of noncitizens in 1996 (specifically, anyone who entered unlawfully at some point in the past, no matter how long ago), and that no one had noticed until now.
More Comey investigation bloopers: FBI agents scoured their database for any mention of "86" that would support Trump's theory of the case — and got "inconclusive results." The one who applied for the warrants searched the *Gambino* case file for a citation, found none, plunged ahead anyway.
SCOTUS did not stop Florida from killing James Duckett and will not stop the state from killing Dominick Occhicone today. There were no noted dissents. The state carried out Duckett’s execution earlier this afternoon and is set to kill Occhicone at 6p.
Either substantial portions of this country secede and form a new nation or we outlaw the Republican Party as an organization because its existence is incompatible with a functioning, democratic republic. A political party must abide by the rules in order to be protected by them.

The NYT subpoena hearing is a shit show, but the best part is they tried to hide the guy who fucked up in the gallery. It is still ongoing. Judge Subramanian has asked why he shouldn't invite a show cause for contempt.

He does so often within seconds of me posting because his burner has push alerts for my posts. Then he deletes them weeks later to not look as unhinged.
How does PoliMath so consistently manage to be a living fucking meme? It *must* be a deliberate effort.
This was the single most meaningful episode of OA I've been a part of yet. Peter's book helped me to better understand myself as someone with #AuDHD, and to finally feel pride rather than shame for it. I hope that this joyful meeting of autistic minds can do the same for anyone else who needs it

Now @apnews.com has a deeply reported story confirming the recently-hired ICE officer who shot a man in Maine had serious mental health issues and a long history of violence against women. This comes after ICE slashed hiring standards and rushed some into the field before background checks cleared.

Publishing personnel lists of ICE and other DHS employees should be a priority for Democrats when they regain control of the House next year. These people have demonstrated a profound lack of character and do not deserve to be employed by any law enforcement agency for the rest of their lives.

She said he was abusive and had previously reported concerns about him to his military superiors. He was also a volunteer firefighter, but was removed after several spats with department leadership.

WHOA DHS does not say that the agent feared for his life… just the vague concern for “public safety.” So he killed him just because he did not want him in America, not because of any specific threat to agents?
Why do the best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity? It's really annoying.
ICE agents fired about six shots at this man while he was driving. ICE agents know that killing a driver does not stop a vehicle.
