Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez@ocasio-cortez.house.gov · 13h ago

For years, the Trump admin has launched slanderous attacks against Rep. Omar. This morning, the administration sent federal officials to raid her home. We cannot and will not accept this unprecedented abuse of power. I stand with @repilhan.bsky.social. apnews.com/article/ilha...

Agents search Rep. Omar's Washington home in criminal probe as she vows she won't 'be silenced'

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar says she will “not be silenced” and calls a search of her Washington home the “latest escalation” in President Donald Trump’s “intimidation” campaign.

Demonizing Democracy The Right has long derided any attempt at leveling racial and social hierarchies as anti-American “socialism” or “communism.” What they are actually fighting is equality. Some thoughts from my new piece: 🧵

Demonizing Democracy

It's more. The text of the ChatGPT Edu contracts that universities are signing says that the university is "responsible for all activities that occur under its Account" (i.e., including student use) and that the university must indemnify OpenAI, a company facing over 50 wrongful death lawsuits.

So many things wrong with this "deal," but also: it's not a "massive" amount. If we actually receive 1,800,000 tons of diesel from Russia, that's equivalent to: * 3.3 days of US consumption, or * 10 days of US *exports*. It's a drop in the bucket. We send more than that overseas every two weeks.

Trump: "I think you heard about the oil deal with Russia. That is a big deal. That is massive amounts of oil coming into our country, and I want to thank President Putin to be honest with you."
