this is the exact right energy to bring to a “hear me out” we’ve been losing the thread on this. people will post “hear me out” and it’s literally a smoking hot person we all agree on. we need to bring it back to its roots as a way of confidently announcing that something is deeply wrong with you

Elite Daily post with photo of Alexander Skarsgard and the cartoon Grinch, which reads "I've always found the Grinch very attractive. I don't even feel like I have to convince you. Like, he's hot" credited to Skarsgard, who "reveals his 'hear me out' in an inteview [sic] with Bustle"

The mantis is called the 'rice-pounding grasshopper' in Thailand (ตั๊กแตนตำข้าว), from the motion of its raptorial forelegs resembling the traditional manner of pounding rice to remove the husks. This one was drawn with this very brush.

Detail from a silhouette drawing in black ink of a mantis perching on a small, sparse shrub. Photographed with a penny and the fine traditional Chinese brush it was drawn with, the detail is tiny and intricate. The mantis can fit onto the penny itself.

Paph. rothschildianum one flower finished 7 more to go This one is a commission for a person in an orchid society. I collect orchids since I was 14 myself. So this one is super cool to work on. I hope they’ll like the finished piece.

As we approach the midterms, remember that the Alt National Park Service is a merch sales operation claiming without evidence to be a group of federal employees, and is not a genuine source of news about elections of any kind. Please get your election info from a local, reputable source.

Alt National Park Service: After our last post, we’ve heard from people reporting voting machine issues in South Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee. We haven’t independently verified these accounts. We also read Stella Parton’s account of having to correct her selection before casting her ballot in Tennessee.
