Python freaks me out sometimes. Computing beta=(X'X)^{-1}X'y gives dramatically different answers, depending on whether the matrix is inverted using numpy.linalg.inv or scipy.linalg.inv. Sometimes it's better living in the darkness that is Stata. #econsky
