In the "Waltz of the Boos" theme from Super Mario Galaxy, the pizzicato arpeggio in the beginning and throughout the song spells out "DEADEAD DEADEAD". Whether the usage of the sequence "DEAD" for a ghostly theme is deliberate or merely a fitting coincidence is unknown.

the idea that games are the result of a single person's ironclad vision rather than a thousand little decisions and compromises and individual people's ideas all coming together in complicated ways

game devs: what are the myths that a lot of players of games think are true about making games that are completely untrue? If you could snap your fingers and they suddenly all knew the truth about it what would it be?

Devs only do this work out of passion, and players only want to buy games made with evidence of developer passion. If your only passion is money and the stock market, get out of games and go sell oil or beer or cars or some other boring shit. GTFO. We don't want you.

In both AAA and Indie game studios, having someone in charge “CEO” or whatever other stupid title they come up with should never be taken seriously or have the position if they don’t even know how to make a game themselves. Can’t run a good kitchen if you can’t cook.
